Announcement    Inspired by Mother Nature and the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia! Bring a touch of nature indoors! Nothing adds more warmth and charm to a home than the simple, rustic beauty of natural wood.
The life of the wood is revealed and will continue in its new form.

Natural, organic, and eco-friendly wooden candle holders, vessels, cutting boards and serving boards. I strive to make great quality, environmentally friendly items. All of my items are one of a kind and you receive the very item that is pictured.

My shop is unique in that I use wood from fallen old-growth Mountain Laurel and Eastern Red Cedar. The trees have fallen due to the fact that they are tremendously large, very old, and sit on the sides of steep hills on our land in the mountains of Virginia. We sustainably harvest naturally provided wood through utilizing the life cycle of the tree.
I do, however, use other types of fallen trees and wood. Some of the types of wood are Mimosa, Cherry and Pine. I specify in each listing the type of wood used for my handcrafted items.

I am happy to re-open my shop after a longer than expected period of time... Appalachian Woodworks previously known as ByDan Woodworks!!
Thank you for stopping by!!
